From her determined beginnings in 1960s Britain, she forged an unexpected career as a performer and writer, travelling the world and delighting audiences. Now she brings together six decades of poetry reflecting on her journey from a young woman navigating love, to a new mother, to a devoted grandmother. Along the way come beloved dogs, her passion for wildlife, travels, mistakes, heartbreaks, ageing, and even new creative ventures such as writing for musical theatre.
