KERN.ON is an AI-powered event discovery and promotional video platform built for Cornwall. We use artificial intelligence to generate short-form video content for events across the county. By using our platform, you agree to these terms.
We believe in being upfront. This document is written in plain language because legal prose helps nobody. If something is unclear, email us at info@kernon.uk and we will explain it.
KERN.ON generates promotional video content for events in Cornwall using artificial intelligence. Our platform scrapes publicly listed event information, enhances it with AI-generated imagery, voiceover, and editorial copy, then packages it into short-form video suitable for social media.
We offer two tiers of service. Both tiers include AI-generated imagery, a professional AI voiceover, and editorial copy. The free tier produces a watermarked preview video. The paid tier, currently priced at less than the cost of a cocktail, removes the watermark and adds custom colour theming matched to your event artwork, on-screen subtitles, and an enhanced intro sequence.
This is the most important section of these terms, so we will be direct.
Every video KERN.ON produces is generated by artificial intelligence. The imagery, the written copy, the voiceover script, and the visual composition are all created by AI systems. This means the output is experimental by nature. AI can and does produce unexpected results. Images may not perfectly represent the event or venue. Text may contain inaccuracies. Voiceover phrasing may feel imperfect. Visual elements may occasionally look unconventional.
We call this the cocktail rule. Content generation through KERN.ON costs less than a cocktail. And like a cocktail, the experience is what it is. You would not send a cocktail back to the bar because you did not enjoy the particular combination of flavours. The bartender made it with skill and good ingredients, but taste is subjective. KERN.ON works the same way. We build your video with the best AI tools available, using real event data and carefully engineered prompts. But the output is a creative product generated by artificial intelligence, and creative output is inherently subjective.
We do not offer refunds on the basis that you did not like the AI-generated output. The paid tier is priced to reflect this: it is accessible, not premium. You are paying for automated AI generation, not for a bespoke production service with rounds of revisions and an account manager.
AI systems occasionally produce content that is factually inaccurate, visually misleading, or contextually inappropriate. In the AI industry, these are known as hallucinations. Examples include generating imagery that does not accurately depict the venue, producing text that attributes incorrect details to an event, or creating visual elements that do not reflect the actual nature of the performance.
KERN.ON is not responsible for inaccuracies, hallucinations, or misrepresentations in AI-generated content. We work continuously to improve the accuracy and quality of our output, but we cannot guarantee that every element of every video will be factually correct or visually representative.
If you are an event organiser and you spot a material inaccuracy in a video featuring your event, contact us at info@kernon.uk. We will review it and, where appropriate, regenerate the content. This is a courtesy, not an obligation, and applies only to verifiable factual errors, not to subjective preferences about the creative output.
If you need guaranteed accuracy, brand-specific guidelines, multiple revisions, or a dedicated account manager, that falls outside what KERN.ON's automated platform provides. We are happy to discuss bespoke video production services on a project basis. Email us directly at info@kernon.uk with your requirements and we will put together a proposal.

Our platform. The KERN.ON platform, including its content generation pipeline, AI prompt engineering, brand voice systems, video rendering technology, and all associated software, is the intellectual property of Kane KERN.ON. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the algorithms, prompts, or methods used in our video generation process.
Free tier videos. Videos generated on the free tier carry a KERN.ON watermark. You may share these on social media with the watermark intact. You may not remove, obscure, or crop out the watermark. Free tier videos are licensed for personal, non-commercial sharing only.
Paid tier videos. When you purchase a paid tier video, you receive a non-exclusive licence to use that video for promoting the specific event it was generated for. This includes posting on social media, embedding on websites, and sharing with venues or promoters. You do not receive ownership of the underlying technology or methods used to create the video.
Our right to use. KERN.ON retains the right to use any generated video for marketing, demonstration, portfolio, and promotional purposes. By generating a video through our platform, you grant us permission to showcase that content.
KERN.ON sources event information from publicly available listings. We do not claim ownership of the underlying event data. If you are an event organiser and you would like your event removed from our platform, or if you believe event information is being displayed incorrectly, contact us at info@kernon.uk and we will address it promptly.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your card details.
As outlined in section 2, we do not offer refunds for subjective dissatisfaction with AI-generated output. Refunds may be considered in the following limited circumstances: if the platform fails to generate a video after payment (a technical failure, not a quality judgment); or if the video generated is for a materially different event than the one you selected (a system error). In either case, contact info@kernon.uk with your Stripe receipt and we will investigate.
KERN.ON provides its service on an "as is" basis. We do not warrant that the platform will be available without interruption, that the AI-generated content will be free of errors, or that the output will meet your specific expectations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KERN.ON and Kane Rich Creative shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or any AI-generated content. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific video in question.
We collect your email address when you generate a video. We use this to deliver your video and, if you opt in, to send you information about events in Cornwall. We do not sell your data to third parties.
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the platform. We use Sentry for error monitoring. Both are industry-standard tools that help us improve the service.
Your rights. Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email info@kernon.uk with your request. We will respond within 30 days.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
